beach meets fall – an autumn look i’m loving
This past weekend I was lucky enough to head down to the beach and spend some much needed time close to the ocean. September beach days are something special — with vacation season coming to a close, locals are left to enjoy some of the last beautiful weekends of the sunny season. Not to mention, there is something different about the colors of the beach during September. It is something that cannot be easily described through words, but evident in photos.
After spending all day on the beach, my mom and I headed back to the beach around one of the most photographed times of the day – “the golden hour.” My mom and I think that a little after this hour you can find the “blue hour,” where the blue hues of the ocean + sky are especially apparent. Since blue, grey, and tan are some of my favorite hues, this hour of blue hue is something special to me.
I styled my Indigo Octopus Citizens jeans with my latest fall staple, my a&f cropped sweater. I love it for its burnt orange color and cropped fit, which I pair with high-waisted jeans. I topped off the look with my Free People chocolate brown hat (Brixton brand, similar style linked here). And of course I had to add in my favorite beads at the moment – lucky el & the elements collection. You can shop my beads here.
I can’t wait to continue transitioning items into my fall wardrobe this season, especially as the weather cools down. What looks are you loving this fall or what are you most excited for with the fall season?
