philly spots: fishtown exploring

When my friend Kelly asked me to explore Fishtown’s Front Street Walls with her, it was a no brainer. With camera in hand, we headed down to the walls…

If you have never heard of Front Street Walls, it is a series of rotating murals that cover honeygrow’s HQ. Both local and international artists are featured here & it is always changing. It is a great photo-op and better yet, has some awesome stores to explore in the surrounding area, especially along Frankford ave.

After taking some photos by the walls, we headed to Frankford Ave to explore Urban Exchange Project and Vestige. I actually have been wanting to visit Vestige for quite some time and had no idea that it was in the area we were headed to…so lucky for me, I was able to check it out.

Urban Exchange has some awesome jackets, fun clothing, and trendy pieces. It is definitely worth a visit! Vestige was amazing and so so beautiful. Their collection of locally made pieces and hand picked vintage is so beautiful. I left feeling inspired and with a locally handmade pottery piece for my mom! (double win)

I hope to return to this area and explore even more of what it has to offer sometime soon. Frankford Ave is spotted with shops and is filled with charm, similar to an “Old City” feel. Highly recommend checking it out!

Philly has some awesome murals and art scenes to offer for exploring & sightseeing. What is your favorite area to explore?

outfit deets…

Chunky cardigan is thrifted from Retrospect Vintage (see my last thrifting post), jeans are old from Free People, scarf is Madewell, and Dr. Martens.
